Disease Controls
Some diseases of trees and shrubs are not serious while others are untreatable
with no known cures. We can give you options for treating those that we
can do something about, and give you options for those diseases that do
not have known cures.
Foliar diseases of deciduous trees tend to recur each season and can often
be treated with a foliar application. Systemic diseases are usually the
diseases we are not able to treat directly. When no particular control
has been shown to be an effective cure, we will recommend treatments that
can delay the onset of more serious and widespread decline in a tree.
While we might not be able to ‘save’ a tree, we might be able
to extend the life of a tree considerably, perhaps giving the owner a
chance to enjoy the tree for many years to come.
